Sun Health Foundation’s Heroes with Heart Gala on Saturday, Nov. 6, was a celebration of Heroes who have demonstrated time and again their dedication to providing superior healthcare for the community.

- Arun Lakshmipathy, M.D., Internist and Program Director at Sun Health Communities, Outstanding Commitment
- Nurses at Sun Health, Banner Boswell and Banner Del E. Webb medical centers, Outstanding Service to the Community
The evening kicked off with Master of Ceremonies Cory McCloskey, FOX10 Arizona Morning Weather Anchor. Presenters included Ron Symic, Chair of Sun Health Foundation’s Events Committee; Gina W. Ore, Chief Philanthropy Officer for Sun Health Foundation; Sharon Lind, CEO, Banner Boswell and Banner Del E. Webb medical centers and member of Sun Health Foundation’s Board of Trustees; Todd Hornback, Chair of the Sun Health Foundation Board of Trustees; and Patricia Lewis Finnell, Chair, Sun Health Services Board of Directors. Special guest was Dr. Rajeev S. Kathuria, the 2020 Heroes with Heart Award recipient, who passed the torch by presenting the Outstanding Achievement Award to Dr. Brown.
Honorees were lauded with touching tributes and testimonials by grateful patients, residents and staff. After several months of virtual events, guests enjoyed being together in what felt like a reunion to many.* The festivities capped off with a toast to superior healthcare and dancing to the music of Thaddeus Rose Band.
The Gala also celebrated the impact of unparalleled healthcare in the West Valley, and the community that helps make this possible. The support of participants, sponsors, supporters and vendors contributed in a big way to raise funds and awareness for Banner Boswell’s Emergency Department and Patient Care Transformation, an initiative in the Generosity for Generations Campaign.
