Sun Health Foundation has named Renee Brida as its vice president of planned giving. Brida brings more than 13 years of experience in estate planning and development to the position.
“The importance of planned giving to Sun Health’s future cannot be overstated,” said Penny Cowden, Sun Health Foundation’s vice president and chief development officer. “Renee brings a proven track record in this area, and we’re delighted she’s joining the team.”
Most recently, Brida was owner of the Law Office of S. Renee Brida in Fayetteville, Ark. Estate planning, probate and charitable organizations were three major areas of emphasis within her practice.Â
Brida also served as University of Arkansas’ director of planned giving in 2009-10, where she was responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding planned gifts to the university as well as advising and training staff on planned giving techniques, tax laws and related legal issues.
Throughout her career, Brida has served in numerous executive development positions including working as director of development for East, Inc.; serving as development director for Little Rock’s Pulaski Academy; handling Arkansas Children’s Hospital’s comprehensive planned giving program and serving as a development officer for Mercy Foundation North.
Brida also has provided leadership for various professional organizations including serving as president of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning, working as a board member and program chair for Leave a Legacy® Arkansas and multiple offices for the Arkansas Bar Association.
She also generously gave her time to numerous civic and community organizations including the Women’s Giving Club for Rotary International, Downtown Little Rock Club 99 and the Fayetteville Rotary Club.
