Each location offers a unique selection of gently used items from fashion finds to housewares, home decorating, furniture and more.

The best part of shopping resale – and donating gently-used items – is the feeling that comes from giving back to the community to ensure the best health care services continue to be available for family, friends and neighbors. In 30 years, community support totals have approached almost $8 million in direct support for health care, wellness and research initiatives. That figure includes proceeds from Sun Health’s second shop in Sun City West, the Sun Health Resale Shop, in partnership with the Sun City West Foundation.

A Fifth Reason: Your Community Benefits.
Your support has a lasting impact for generations in your community. Through Sun Health Foundation’s $48 million Generosity for Generations Campaign, net proceeds from all purchases go toward Banner Boswell and Banner Del E. Webb medical centers, and Sun Health Wellness programs.
1.     Emergency department and patient care transformation
Your resale shop donations and purchases will go toward helping improve the Banner Boswell Emergency Department, which has outgrown its initial yearly patient allocation of 45,000 visits per year and must expand to fit the growing needs of the community of more than 60,000 visits per year. As the largest of the Generosity for Generations initiatives, expansion of the emergency department is already underway and is scheduled to be completed in 2020.
2.     Community health and wellness
Supporting Sun Health resale shops also supports community health and wellness measures designed to deliver impactful and life-altering wellness services to members of our West Valley community. Some of these services include fitness classes like tai chi or yoga, and informative programs on how to best manage your health care while balancing diagnoses like diabetes, dementia and cancer. Without the support from our community through generous donations through our resale shops and more, we would not be able to provide these services at little to no cost.
3.     Service enhancements for women and infants
Demand for women’s health care is growing, and there is more we can do to welcome new lives into our community while keeping women of all ages well and supported. From childbirth to menopause and beyond, supporting women’s health care within our community is a true group effort, which is why this $2 million investment in Service Enhancements for Women and infants is so important to us all.
4.     Spine health and orthopedics
Many people across generations need orthopedic and spinal surgery in the West Valley. The Banner CORE Center for Orthopedics at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center has served an average of more than 4,700 patients per year, offering comprehensive evaluation, surgical consultations and inpatient and outpatient therapy. With your generous resale purchases and donations, the Campaign seeks to add improvements to the Center so that it may continue to provide exceptional patient care and clinical health outcomes. These enhancements include new state-of-the-art technologies such as portable surgical tables and innovative, new sterilization techniques.
5.     Cancer-fighting treatment and care advancement
Your resale donations and purchases may also benefit those in our community who live with cancer. In 2019, almost 400,000 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States and more than 225,000 people will be diagnosed with lung cancer. Because of these statistics, Banner Boswell and Banner Del E. Webb medical centers are seeking to develop their breast and lung cancer departments by expanding capacity and adding new, innovative diagnostic and treatment technologies.
6.     Future cardiac and cancer care initiatives
Last but certainly not least, our community Sun Health resale shops support future cardiac and cancer care initiatives, meaning that with the constant changes and new innovations in health care, Banner Boswell and Banner Del E. Webb medical centers will be able to keep up with the latest medical breakthroughs and ensure that each medical center is equipped with the necessary life-saving technologies and skills to treat cancer and cardiac emergencies.

Your resale shop donations can be brought to either of our two locations during business hours. Due to sanitation and repair matters, we cannot accept any large appliances, mattresses or auto parts, and the items donated must be in clean, gently used condition.
