The Sun Health Foundation recently received a gift of $6,137 from the Grand Ladies Golf Association (GLGA), an 18-hole golf club at Sun City Grand.
Proceeds from their March golf tournament – conducted in honor of women and families in the West Valley – will support Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center’s new health care advancements for women and infants, an initiative in the Foundation’s Generosity for Generations Campaign.
Sun City Grand resident Nancy Foy served as a lead coordinator of the tournament that included 184 women. Together with other committee members, they coordinated a great event and a celebratory reception complete with cupcakes decorated in pink and blue.
“We’re all moms and grandmas, and we wanted to give back to support what touches us personally and supports our growing community,” says Nancy. “This initiative really spoke to us and gave us a real focus for this tournament.”
