Sun Health Foundation’s fundraiser, Food for Thought: A Spanish Fiesta, taking place on Saturday, April 25, is officially sold out. This strong response reflects the community’s commitment to supporting individuals and families affected by dementia.

Why It Matters
According to the Alzheimer’s Association, 11 percent of older adults in Arizona have Alzheimer’s disease, and the state is expected to see faster growth in Alzheimer’s cases than any other state except Alaska. Today, 240,000 Arizonans — nearly 60 percent of whom are managing their own health conditions — are providing unpaid dementia care totaling 377 million hours annually.

With the right support, individuals and families can navigate this journey with greater confidence, reduced stress, and improved quality of life. Sun Health’s Memory Care Navigator program exists to provide that support, free of charge.
