Sun Health Foundation believes that a community’s greatest gift is its dedicated volunteers. That’s why our Volunteers in Philanthropy (VIPs) play such an integral role in making an impact in our community through Sun Health Foundation. VIPs serve as an extension of our vision, carrying out the proud tradition of philanthropy and care that’s essential to every associated service and program.
The original group of VIPs, known as Sun Health Auxiliary, came together in 1968, beginning a movement that still goes on 50 years later. This group worked tirelessly, going door-to-door, successfully encouraging residents to fund the construction of a nonprofit community hospital in Sun City.
That same spirit of volunteerism and civic responsibility continues to guide our VIPs today. In addition to supporting various fundraising efforts, our VIPs provide the additional support for health and wellness programs our community depends upon.
Volunteer Opportunities
There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available including:
- Resale shops: Welcome shoppers and help sort items at our thrift shops.
- Administration: Lend a hand around the Sun Health Administration office, while working close in collaboration with the Sun Health team.
- Sun Health Foundation Events: Assist with special fundraising events conducted by Sun Health Foundation.
- Community Programs: Assist with community education programs.
