Announces pay raise for staff; Looking to hire Valley residents needing work

Surprise, Ariz. (April 10, 2020) – Emails from thankful staff are pouring in after Sun Health announced employees are receiving  raises called VIBRANT Pay to help alleviate stress during the COVID-19 health care crisis. The nonprofit also made sure staff know they will be supported financially if sick and is offering help to those struggling to get to work due to childcare issues in light of Valley schools closures.

These are just a few of the measures Sun Health has implemented to reward and recognize staff during this pandemic.

“At Sun Health, our mission states that ‘we envision a world where people live longer, healthier, more purposeful lives’. This includes our employees. We cannot serve our communities without them,” said Joe La Rue, chief executive officer. “This is a stressful time, many families are being financially impacted. Everyone is working hard. We value our staff and that is why it was important as a nonprofit to give back to them as well. We also want to spread the word that we’re hiring!”

Sun Health also has good news for Valley job seekers. The organization has more than 40 jobs to fill. Those looking for work are encouraged to check out Sun Health’s website at https://www.sunhealth.org/careers. Sun Health employees, like Grandview Terrace Residency Counselor Nancy Madden, wants to share why folks should consider applying.

“Sun Health continues to show their gratitude for their employees. I travel 100 miles round trip daily to come to work and have never considered seeking other employment,” said Madden. “I love where I work and the people I meet daily.  Sun Health is a company that shows strength and compassion and I am proud to be a part of it.”
