For a family in the West Valley, having the medical care they needed near their home meant the world to them. A year ago, Jay, the father of the family, was diagnosed with gastric cancer. As you can imagine, he and his wife were shocked and heartbroken by this unexpected news. They had so many questions and so much to learn about the journey ahead. Most importantly, they wanted to make sure Jay received the best care possible.
After much research, they placed Jay’s care in the hands of Banner MD Anderson medical professionals. Jay required a major surgery, radiation and chemotherapy treatments, and nutrition education.
Fortunately, Jay and his family did not have to endure long drives to the far East Valley to receive the care he needed. His surgery was performed at Banner Boswell. Follow up treatments were also completed there at the Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center Radiation Oncology Clinic.
Jay is beyond grateful for the healthcare resources available in his community which meant less stress for him and his family.
