  3. Excellence in Healthcare: Why Our Mission Matters

Post date:

Sun Health Foundation is pleased to introduce Staci Glass, our new Vice President of Philanthropy, who joined the organization in July. She brings more than 20 years of mission-driven leadership in fundraising and advancement. Her personal story also makes her especially well-suited to help our community think about legacy giving as we recognize Make-a-Will Month this August.

Staci was born and raised in the Valley and has spent her career serving the community that shaped her. “I’m truly honored to join Sun Health Foundation and be part of an organization so deeply committed to the wellbeing of our community,” she says. “As an Arizona native, I feel a deep connection to the people we serve, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help strengthen the health and wellbeing of the communities that shaped me.”

Ask anyone who’s met her, and they’ll tell you that Staci doesn’t know a stranger. She believes we are put on this earth to make authentic connections with each other. So far, her favorite part of joining Sun Health Foundation has been the people — the staff, donors, residents, and community members alike.

Staci previously served as Director of Institutional Advancement at Midwestern University, where she built long-range advancement strategies across 25 health sciences colleges and programs. Earlier, as Chief Development Officer at Florence Crittenton Services of Arizona, she led fundraising, marketing, and communications for one of the state’s oldest nonprofits, providing behavioral health care for at risk teenage girls.

Her career in philanthropy actually began by chance — a consulting client invited her to join Hacienda Healthcare, and she never looked back. Throughout every role, Staci says one thing has remained constant – staying focused on each organization’s mission and making an impact in the lives of others. That focus is exactly what makes legacy giving meaningful to her.

“Leaving a gift through an estate plan is leaving a part of who they are with us,” Staci explains. “It’s a way of continuing their memory and impacting the lives of their neighbors and community long into the future.”

She’s quick to note that planned giving isn’t reserved for major donors — any level of gift makes a meaningful impact. Her advice to those considering a charitable gift in their will is simple: connect with our philanthropy team. “We want to get to know what matters most to you, your values, your passions, and the legacy you hope to leave,” says Staci. “From there, we can help connect your philanthropic goals with the work we’re doing at Sun Health in a way that’s meaningful to you.”

Staci holds a degree from Purdue University and serves on the board of Arizona Osteopathic Charities. She and her husband have three adult daughters and a rescue dog, Remi. When she’s not at work, she loves reading, traveling, and browsing antique shops.

Please join us in giving Staci a warm welcome to the Sun Health family! Staci can be reached at [email protected] or (623) 471-8470.
