Ronald K. Austerlade hired as new Chief Marketing Officer for Sun HealthÂ
SURPRISE â June, 19, 2014 â Ronald K. Austerlade has been named vice president and chief marketing officer for nonprofit Sun Health.
He brings more than two decades of experience in senior-level marketing, communications, public relations, research and analytics, customer experience, and sales to the role. Prior to Sun Health, he directed marketing efforts for several companies, ranging from startups to global Fortune 50 enterprises. The list includes CVS Caremark, First Data Corporation, TMZ Consulting, Lucent Technologies, and Westin and Hyatt Hotel corporations.
Austerlade was part of the core team responsible for integrating the marketing organizations of CVS and Caremark, which merged soon after he joined the company. He developed and deployed a holistic customer-experience model that significantly increased member satisfaction across all lines of business. He also led numerous initiatives to develop and brand new programs that combined the strengths of the two organizations, leading to the launch of new award-winning products and services.
Austerlade is a native of Pennsylvania and received his marketing education at Pennsylvania State University. He is active in several prominent industry and civic organizations and associations, including the American Marketing Association, Public Relations Society of America, Market Research Association, and the ASU Center for Services Leadership, where he sits on the board of advisors. He resides in Scottsdale with his wife and two children.
