Better Together
Our employees embrace the belief that we are truly Better Together. This employee-led initiative encourages team members to volunteer, donate, and champion causes that matter deeply to them. Through these collective efforts, we’re building a culture rooted in kindness, compassion, and community impact.
Throughout the year, employees have countless opportunities to give back, by offering their time, sharing resources, or participating in community-focused events. These moments of service remind us that small acts of kindness can create meaningful change.
Employee Appreciation Funds
At each of our communities, residents show their gratitude for the employees who make their homes warm, welcoming, and enjoyable. Through donations made throughout the year, residents build the Employee Appreciation Funds as a heartfelt way to say “thank you.”
At the end of the year, these funds are presented to team members in a ceremony filled with appreciation and recognition. The bonds between residents and staff run deep, and this tradition reflects the mutual respect, trust, and care that define our communities.
Christmas Food Drive
During the holiday season, Sun Health employees and community members join together to support local food banks with essential items. By donating food and supplies, we’re able to help families experiencing hardship enjoy a brighter, more nourishing holiday season.
Emergency Fund
Life is unpredictable, and unexpected emergencies can place heavy burdens on individuals and families. Thanks to the generosity of employees, contributions have been set aside to support colleagues facing urgent financial needs. After a confidential review process, funds are distributed to help navigate challenging situations. This act of internal support is a powerful reflection of our commitment to caring for one another.
Operation Thanksgiving
Each year, our communities unite to prepare complete Thanksgiving dinners for employees who request them. This year, residents and staff came together to pack 136 Thanksgiving meal boxes, providing meaningful support and allowing many families to enjoy a special holiday meal together. It’s one of the many ways we live out our values of compassion and community.
