The Sun Health Foundation, with the help of contributions from faithful donors throughout the West Valley, donated approximately $500,000 for renovations to Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center’s SAGE unit.
SAGE, which stands for Support, Adaptation, Growth, Enrichment, offers one of the few programs in Arizona that treats patients who need simultaneous medical and behavioral health care.
The SAGE Unit combines psychiatric care with medical care for patients whose treatment requires hospitalization. Patients on SAGE have a variety of behavioral health issues, including but not limited to Alzheimer’s and dementia.
