SUN CITY WEST – Sun Health Senior Living, a nationally recognized operator of three Arizona retirement communities, has named Cheryl Knupp administrator at Grandview Care Center (GVCC), a rehabilitation, assisted living, and skilled nursing facility serving residents of Grandview Terrace in Sun City West and The Colonnade in Surprise.
Knupp, an employee of Sun Health Senior Living since 2004, most recently served as director of Human Resources at Grandview Terrace. Prior to that, she served as administrator at La Loma Care Center in Litchfield Park for five years.
At GVCC, Knupp’s administrative responsibilities include ensuring facility compliance with all government statues, regulations and standards for nursing home institutions while upholding the highest quality care and support for patients and their families. In addition, she is charged with overseeing personnel and day-to-day operations related to nursing care, activities, dining, maintenance, housekeeping and laundry services.
“Grandview Care Center has a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and an ‘excellent’ rating from the Arizona Department of Health Services,” said Knupp. “As administrator, I am committed to preserving these ratings and ensuring the care provided at GVCC warrants such high praise.”
Raised in Arizona, Knupp earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in human resources from Arizona State University. She has an Arizona license for nursing home administration recently graduated from the Leadership Academy through LeadingAge Arizona, a trade association for organizations and facilities providing housing, hospitality, health care and community-based services for the elderly.
