Donation drive featuring employees, residents, volunteers and the general public helping organization to meet its mission
SUN CITY, ARIZ. – Now in its second full year, the Sun Health SHINE (Sun Health Involvement Never Ends) Committee is currently hosting its first donation drive of the year in support of A New Leaf, a Valley nonprofit providing resources to the homeless and domestic violence victims, as well as youth and community programs.
Throughout the various Sun Health and Sun Health Senior Living campuses throughout the West Valley, blue donation “buckets” have been placed where employees, residents, volunteers and the general public can donate the following NEW items:
• Toilet paper, paper towels and napkins
• Trash bags in assorted sizes
• Powdered laundry detergent
• Liquid soap
• Disposable plates, cups and silverware
• Large-size diapers (size 3-6) and wipes
• Full-size shampoo, shower gel and conditioner
• Toothpaste and soft bristle toothbrushes
• Feminine products
“Our 2013 SHINE campaign is off to strong start” said Ron Guziak, Sun Health president and chief executive officer. “Last year we proved that Sun Health Involvement Never Ends is more than just a catch phrase. A New Leaf is a very community-minded organization, and the perfect partner to kick off our 2013 efforts.”
