At Sun Health Foundation, we believe that a community’s greatest gift is its dedicated volunteers. That’s why our Volunteers in Philanthropy (VIP) play such an integral role in the impact Sun Health Foundation has in our community. VIPs serve as an extension of our vision, carrying out the proud tradition of philanthropy and care that is integral to every Sun Health Foundation-supported facility and program.
The VIP program offers a variety of volunteer opportunities in Phoenix and the Northwest Valley that contribute to the success of Sun Health’s programs, including serving at one of our resale and gift shops at Banner Boswell Medical Center and Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center, helping in our Foundation offices or assisting with special events.
Proceeds from these events and retail sales provide much-needed support for orthopedic, cardiac, neuroscience and research programs at these medical facilities. Combined with the support of an engaged community, this allows Sun Health to host a myriad of successful fundraising endeavors including golf tournaments, a spring fashion show, a fall home tour and an annual formal gala.
The VIP volunteer committee provides leadership for these anticipated fundraisers and is the heart behind their success.
