Radiation therapy plays an essential role in cancer care, with treatment goals ranging from cure to long‑term disease control. Dr. Clayton will highlight how radiation therapy is used with curative intent in some cancers, while in others it helps slow disease progression, relieve symptoms, and improve quality of life. By exploring real‑world examples and advances in precision treatment, she will show how radiation oncologists tailor care to each patient’s needs and goals.
